The end of 2010 and beginning of 2011 has been very busy. Our Funktion One system has barely been in the warehouse due to the constant demand for it. Since December 2010 we have provided staging and lighting for the Australian International Symphony Orchestra Institute, provided full production for the Southern Gospel Choir with Silvie Paladino and Michael Spiby, Carols by Candlelight in Glenorchy and Lauderdale and a Christmas Eve concert in St David's Park by ExitLeft Productions.
The Hobart City Council held the annual Taste Festival from 28 December 2010 through until 3 January 2011. The festival received a huge revamp from previous years. PMLS was chosen to provide sound, lighting and staging for The Taste Festival. The site had a main stage, waterfront stage, DJ area, buskers area as well as a food theatre, each with it's own requirements. Funktion One Res 5's and F218's were the choice of system for the main stage and the waterfront stage delivering clean crisp sound.
Jessica Mauboy was the headlining artist for this year's Putalina Festival at Oyster Cove (40 minutes South of Hobart). A Funktion One system comprising Res 5's, Res 2's and F218's was chosen for the festival and once again delivered the world class sound that Funktion One is renowned for
PMLS are continuing our commitment to our Funktion-One Resolution System as our clients always comment on how clean and precise the sound is with its tight and punchy low-end.
This is achieved by Funktion-One being focused on having the time and resources to properly investigate areas of sonic importance and the achievement of a serious leap forward in performance and by building on the strengths of their innovative past.
This means more clarity and intelligibility, move conversion of amplifier energy into acoustic energy, more clean SPL and more controlled dispersion with less size, less weight and less distortion. Those are things other speaker systems just cannot offer.
